Does this support Universal Analytics (UA) or only GA4?
The integration supports GA4 only. Universal Analytics was sunset by Google in July 2023 and no longer collects data. If your client is still on UA, you'll need to migrate them to GA4 first.
Who needs access to the client's GA4 property?
Your agency's Google account needs at least "Viewer" access to the client's GA4 property. During setup, the client can grant access to your Google account, or you can use a user the client has already added to their property.
Are there any GA4 API quota concerns?
GA4 offers generous API quotas (tens of thousands of requests per day). For typical agency use (10-50 clients), you won't come close to hitting limits. The integration also caches dashboard data intelligently to minimize API calls.
