MIGRATION GUIDE
How to Migrate from Agency Handy to AgencyPro
A complete 2026 playbook for moving your productized agency off Agency Handy. Upgrade to AI agents, time tracking, and full project management without losing data.
Why agencies switch from Agency Handy
Outgrowing the basics
Agency Handy is great at year one. Once you cross 30 clients or hire your second project manager, the lack of capacity planning, time tracking, and approval workflows starts to slow delivery.
No native AI features
Agency Handy does not include AI agents or an AI assistant. AgencyPro ships with role-based AI agents (copywriter, account manager, project manager) plus a client portal chatbot.
Limited project management
Agency Handy treats projects as order delivery checklists. AgencyPro includes a full project module with tasks, subtasks, dependencies, Gantt views, and time tracking.
No file proofing
Agency Handy supports file sharing but not annotated proofing. AgencyPro includes built-in proofing for creative review and client approvals.

Step-by-step migration process
Export data from Agency Handy
In Agency Handy admin, go to Settings > Export Data. Pull CSVs for clients, services, and orders. Download a copy of your file storage in bulk.
Set up your AgencyPro workspace
Sign up at agencypro.app. Configure branding, custom domain, and team roles. Build your service catalog in AgencyPro using your Agency Handy service list as a starting point.
Import clients and contacts
Upload the Agency Handy client CSV into AgencyPro contacts. Confirm billing details and Stripe IDs come through correctly.
Rebuild service catalog and intake
Create AgencyPro service packages with prices, deliverables, and linked intake forms. AgencyPro forms tie directly to project templates, simplifying handoff.
Migrate active orders
For every open Agency Handy order, create a matching AgencyPro project. Carry over deliverables, due dates, and assignees. Mark any blockers from the previous platform.
Transfer Stripe subscriptions
Both platforms use Stripe for recurring billing. Connect the same Stripe account to AgencyPro and link each subscription ID to a project. Customers experience no interruption.
Invite team members
Add your team with role-based permissions. Run a short training session covering the new project, time tracking, and AI assistant workflows.
Pilot and cut over
Onboard new clients only through AgencyPro. After one full billing cycle confirms cleanly, cancel Agency Handy and archive the final export for compliance.
What data you can migrate
Common migration challenges
Challenge: Intake forms don't export
Solution: Rebuild forms manually in AgencyPro. Connect each form to a project template so submissions auto-create the right project, removing the manual setup step.
Challenge: Order vs project mental model shift
Solution: In AgencyPro, an order automatically becomes a project. Train your team on the broader project view (tasks, time, files) so they don't treat AgencyPro projects like Agency Handy orders.
Challenge: Branded portal continuity
Solution: Point your custom domain (e.g., clients.youragency.com) at AgencyPro and apply matching brand colors and logo. Clients see no perceptible change.

Frequently asked questions
Why switch from Agency Handy to AgencyPro?
Agency Handy starts at $29/month and is positioned for early-stage productized agencies. AgencyPro covers the same ground plus native AI agents, file proofing, full project management, and a public API. Agencies usually upgrade once they need more depth in client portals, team capacity planning, or AI assistance.
Can I export data from Agency Handy?
Yes. Agency Handy supports CSV exports for clients, services, and orders from the admin panel. For Stripe payment data, pull it directly from your Stripe dashboard since both platforms use Stripe as the billing engine.
Will my Agency Handy subscriptions keep billing during migration?
Yes. Because both platforms use Stripe for recurring billing, you connect the same Stripe account to AgencyPro and existing subscriptions continue without re-charging. Just link each Stripe subscription to the matching AgencyPro project.
How long does migration from Agency Handy take?
Most agencies migrate in 7 to 10 days. Agency Handy customers tend to have smaller client counts (under 50), which speeds up the process. The main work is rebuilding service intake forms and project templates in AgencyPro.
Is AgencyPro more expensive than Agency Handy?
AgencyPro starts at $39/month vs Agency Handy at $29/month. The $10/month difference includes native AI agents, time tracking, file proofing, full project management, and a public API. Agencies usually save money once they cancel separate tools for those features.
Can I run both platforms in parallel?
Yes. Run AgencyPro for new clients while existing Agency Handy orders complete their cycle. After one full billing cycle in AgencyPro, cancel Agency Handy. Most agencies use a 7-day parallel window.
